4A useful book for all children  Nov 23, 2009
Sandra Moenssens has written a creative and easily applicable book on test taking techniques that students can relate to and understand. The storyline between siblings Nick and Sophia is realistic and fun to follow.
The teacher's tips provide an effective interactive approach between the students, teachers and the main characters of the book. The practical advice given throughout the book encourages students to reach out and ask for help from school guidance counselors, teachers and coaches.
Moenssen embraces the many beneficial techniques to this debilitating challenge and gives hope to the student. She encourages them to find their own individual way to help tame the fears of test taking. She brings to light this important issue that is not always addressed in the school system. At the end of the book she incorporates the sibling's parents and shows the reader that their parents can get involved and support their children on their quest for better test scores. A useful book for children of all ages.

5Really Helpful!  Oct 14, 2009

I enjoyed the journey of the book. It flows smoothly and invites the student to move through the process from doubt to knowledge gathering to confidence. Feeling dumb is a terrible thing - and young people sometimes try to make up for these feelings in ways that aren't helpful instead of fixing the problem. This book offers simple ways to genuinely correct the problem of test anxiety and it's going to help a lot of people!

5Must Read  Sep 25, 2009
This book is a must read for kids who experience any type of performance anxiety. The suggestions the author makes are simple but powerful and she delivers them in a way that is easy to understand. The format of storytelling personalizes the information and quickly engages the reader. The information is useful for both students and parents alike. I will definitely use it as a resource and I highly recommend it.
