Not worth your money! Jul 10, 2011

This is a ridiculous book attempting to disprove 'science' by appealing to 'common sense'! The author is clearly confused about the meaning of various scientific concepts (a feature of many science deniers). He clearly is misinformed about the meaning of the 'laws of nature' either deliberately or through ignorance. He fails to recognize that atheism isn't a 'belief' in the sense that religions are and constantly claims that atheists believe this or that or the other. Nonsense! He also constantly, and fatally I believe, claims that scientist believe that there is no God. In essence science is neutral and silent about a God because it deals with explanations of the physical universe not metaphysics as the author claims, but individual scientists do claim is that to EXPLAIN the universe and everything in it, it is NOT necessary to invoke an outside agent i.e. God and that all explanations so far have been found within the physical universe. And to claim that people cannot find meaning and purpose in their lives without a belief in a God takes the cake and is abject nonsense!
