Fun to read! May 03, 2009
I enjoyed reading this book. I identified with Nicki, she is who the book is about but there are many kids in this book, all exciting and funny. I liked Billy Jean and Bart and Dale!
I didn't care for Constance and I think she is mean spirited girl. I rooted for Nicki any time Constance was on the scene! There is a ghost in this book and possibly two ghosts! There is one chapter that was a little scary and I loved that chapter! Overall if you're a kid you will love this book!

Interesting book!!!!! Apr 23, 2009
This book was a combination of a ghost story and a story about a girl who moves from the city to the woods. Her new home is in the forest and things are sometimes dark and scary, but she does meet some cool kids that know alot about nature. While this is going on she is also becoming friends with a ghost. The ghost is a boy her age and some of the encounters are scary but over all she keeps her bravery in most situations. You know that she is scared but she makes it through! I love this book and when it ended it ended with a new mystery so I got the sequel and started reading the second it came!

Best Book Ever! Mar 11, 2009
I read a lot of books. I really liked this book because it was about a girl my age. When she gets scared in math class, it did remind me of when I had to read out loud at school and would get really nervous and then read worse because of my jitters. Nicki has a problem like that and she finds a great way to solve her problem. I loved her puppy and the little guy, because I love animals and I really liked the illustration of the little guy. I felt for Nicki when she baby-sat and in my opinion that house is haunted and scary! I for one do not like Constance and I do know a girl that is just like that, I like the way that Nicki keeps a level head when dealing with Constance (she is a spec of dust). On a brighter subject, I want to know more about Zach. Zach is a ghost that communicates with Nicki and he is a kid too, the write-up in the back of this book tells me that I will learn more about him in the sequel so I can't wait for that to come out. I have to know what is in that letter! I went to The Adventures of Nicki website and it shows the cover of the book The Secret Clubhouse so I'm hoping to find it on Amazon in the next few days!

Exciting Book Feb 10, 2009
This book is about a girl who is from a city. She moves to Wolf Creek and since the school looks like its so old (from 1936) she figures the kids will be lagging behind her in thier studies. Instead she finds out the contrary. They are the best math students in the district and were doing math that her school in the city hadn't even gotten to! In the mean time she has found a mysterious book that leads her to knowing about life and a boy from the 1920's. She also has a mystical experience at her new friend Lori's house. Then she baby-sits at a house that seems to be haunted but she can't tell who that ghost is. Along with all this adventure and suspense this book is about Nicki meeting new kids in her new neighborhood and at school. She doesn't have an easy time with that. The kids she meets are very outgoing and she does do a lot of cool things like camping out, fishing and she even finds a baby animal! I am not going to tell you how it ends because it's a surprise. Overall this is a really great book for anyone who likes fun, adventure and ghosts!

Book Fanatic! Feb 07, 2009
My mom ordered this book for me and I started reading it as soon as it came. I didn't put it down until I finished reading the whole thing which took me four days! The cover is super nice, Nicki & her brother being chased by scary wolves. Then I got to chapter 4 and it explained the action on the cover. I won't spoil that for anyone! I won't give anything away but will say I was very angry at Constance in Chapter 12, she is mean and about as spoiled as they get. I am going to read this book again because I want to know these characters better. There are so many kids, Brent is my favorite, I also like Meredith, Lori, Holly, Matt and Billy Jean. I was not too certain if I liked Jake at first that's for sure. When Nicki baby-sat that was a real nail biter and I thought that house was really spooky. If you like ghosts and are interested in spirits you will love this book. Zach is a spirit and a very interesting part of the story. I know this is the first of a series I am trying to find out if the second and third books are out yet.
