The Alcoholic's Guide to Adventure

With a drunk behind the stern and madness and mayhem riding shot-gun, The Alcoholic’s Guide to Adventure by author William Rutger is a deliriously funny, at times, tender trip into a spirited recovery. For anyone who likes the occasional tipple or snifter, or takes life a little too seriously, this lighthearted jaunt into the sublime world of drunken decadence is a wonderful reprieve. This fast-paced biography begins with what can only be described by people other than the author as a disturbing memory of the author’s father. When his father suggests that he shoplift school clothes, the story will continue to take twists and turns, shot between distant memories and ones that are more recent, in an inspired flashback sequence that helps readers understand how Rutger got to a place where he needed to save himself. Though most roads are paved with good intentions, in his case, the past path foreshadowed the one big adventure that will have readers fully awestruck and oddly inspired.

4A genuine story  Apr 13, 2011

I know William (Billy personally). He has been an inspiration to me both sober and half cocked (oops.. straight). I have always valued his educational background and experiences. I can remember the crusie we went when he discovered Donkey U. He had been out jogging the country, island, side and realized the number of donkey's present on the island. "what a revelation it was". No, I didn't win using his suggestions when playing the roulette table after we left port.

I've told nomerous peolpe how someone I knew got locked in the halway naked on a Dinsey cruise. Wow! That gets attention!. It's in his book.

All that aside, Billy (William) is one of the only down to earth 100% honest attorneys one will ever meet. Tell it like it is. Read the book. It about his escapades into a new like and freedom (sober). Love ya, Billy
