Regarding Wayne Williams, Jun 24, 2010
By warden21254 Trough recent articles, TV, and online info. I became interested in learning more about the so called Atlanta Child murders. Most of what I'd been seeing concerned wether Wayne Williams had been wrongfully convicted. When I saw this book online,I decided to get an inside view as it was written by one of the lead prosecutors. It is a fascinating read. I learned that what I'd been seeing and hearing which was called flimsy and very circumstantial evidence, was in fact very damning. This was an absolutely frightening and devastating time for the victims and families of these horrible crimes. It shows a cities leading law enforcement and community leaders doing everything in their power to try and put an end to these seemingly unstoppable murders. But early into the investigation forensics (in its infancy at the time), was able to link the murders, and when a suspect was brought to light this forensic evidence, which defense lawyers called a "house of cards" was in fact a solid foundation of irrefutable evidence on which this case was built. And it all started with a splash under a bridge. It is definitely worth the time of anyone interested in this particular case. If you've had doubts about this mans conviction, read this book and perhaps you will be convinced as I was that justice has been served.

The Compelling Truth Finally Revealed!! Dec 23, 2010
By Patrick F This book is a page turner, and it finally put to rest any doubts I had about the guilt of Wayne Williams.
I was the same age as most of the younger victims at the time of the case. In school, they made us watch the news every night and report to the class what we saw. I will never forget a lot of the news footage I saw regarding the case back then.
Having enjoyed this book so much, I cannot tell you how much it means to me to have my questions about Wayne Williams answered once and for all. Now, when I see pictures and book covers featuring some of the famous serial killers of our time (Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Gary Heidnik, etc.) with Wayne Williams among them, I will know that he officially belongs in such a classified group.
Although I loved the Soledad O'Brien special on CNN this last summer (mostly for the old footage & the new attention to the old case), it did not answer the biggest question of all which is "was Wayne Williams guilty?". Thank god this new book, because it shows Wayne Williams as the killer he is. If this book does not once and for all put to rest any further doubts about his guilt, then the doubters obviously have not paid attention to what they've read.

Great Read Feb 26, 2010
By Diane Wright Even though you know the outcome of the trial, the book is still suspenseful and hard to put down once you start reading it. I particularly enjoyed the cross exam that Mr. Mallard gives Wayne Williams. It was just as exciting as watching a murder trial in a movie. My heart was racing with each interchange between the two of them. I felt as if I were in the courtroom.

Outstanding Account of Atlanta's Most Gripping Murder Case! Feb 05, 2010
By ScottinGA
"Scott"
This book was an outstanding account of what many consider to be Atlanta's most brutal series of crimes. Mallard did a great job in the courtroom and it comes through in the pages. This should be a required read for all District Attorney offices and every major felony/homicide investigations unit in Georgia and throughout the country. Tremendous job!

memories Apr 02, 2010
By Nisi I started reading this book on Tuesday morning and had finished it by Wednesday afternoon. I couldn't help but pick it up during every and any spare moment, (even some that wasn't spare. This book is an easy readwhere even the technical data could be readily understood by the average lay person. I was in high school, in the southeastern, coastal Georgia region during the era of these murders. This book enabled me to recall so many memories from that time. I can clearly recall the tension everyone in our state was feeling. It boggled the mind to know someone could be doing these heinous acts to children. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the law enforcment professionals involved this case was solved, the murders ceased, and the murderer sits behind bars. As all with common sense and an open mind will see, they clearly captured the right guy. It is about time someone told the REAL details of the case as only a true insider could. Hats off to Mr. Mallard!!!!!
