By shoregal Tom Wehlen has got another winner on his hands with this one! His insightful commentary is timely, well defended and as always, humorous. "The Basilica Manifesto" takes us on a journey of what Mr. Wehlen finds important in this world while inspiring readers to dig deeper about their own beliefs. I won't say much about the content, dear readers, lest I spoil the fun for you.
Looking for a quick read that is not fluff? This is the book for you. Avid, open-minded, soul-searching readers only, please!
Hats off to Tom Wehlen for another winner. My question for you , oh portentous author? When will we be reading your next commentary of life's little foibles?
This book is 5 stars plus!!!

Entertaining! Oct 11, 2008
By Melanie R Fleming The essays in this book were entertaining and fun to read. I would definitely read more!
A genius in his own mind!!! (and on paper too) Mar 31, 2008
By L Elizabeth This little book packs a wallop of entertainment. Tom Whelan's incisiveness and wit, as well as, his incredible knack for describing with perfection outrageous social phenomena that we all experience (but many of us are too polite to comment on), makes this a must read. These short essays on everything from baby names to colonics, may have you nodding your head agreement or outrage you completely, but this page turner will have you howling with laughter either way.
Loved this! Jan 16, 2008
By Kaye P. Just when I thought Mr. Whelan couldn't top the success of The Dakapa Handbook, he delivers another great book. Hysterical glimpses of the ill-fated Giovanni Fanzini's experiences with everything from telemarketers to colon hydrotherapy. Funny and wonderful storytelling that keeps you wanting more! I didn't want this book to end and I can't wait to see what Mr. Whelan publishes next.
