The Big W And A Dog Named Dylan

Napoleon Zimmerman lived the script handed down from generation to generation: college, career, wife, children, home and white picket fence. But something went wrong. At age 36 divorce shattered Zimmerman's world. Broken, bewildered, and disillusioned, Zimmerman, purchased a small RV, and ventured to the road in search of himself. Follow one man's battle between the limited programmed voices of his mind and the unlimited voice of his heart as he struggles with balancing solitude in his search for companionship and the realization of his dreams. Along the way, in the adventure that is life (called by our hero Soul School - Playground Earth), Napoleon learns a bit, hears his dog singing words to live by, and drafts a modest proposal for life after The Big W.

4A Spiritual Journey and a Love Story  Jan 19, 2007
Zimmerman writes a compelling memoir of his own spiritual journey and finding love. Although the book is not particularly well-written, it is a fast and heart-warming read that will keep you up late at night and reevaluating your own spiritual needs. It inspires to ignore external pressures and begin an inner search for true happiness and contentment.

5Honest, Real.. a great read  Jul 05, 2006
I started reading reading this on the way home from New Orleans and couldn't put it down. The rather unvarnished story of one man's journey in self discovery. People can take a lesson on having the courage to love, live, learn, hurt but follow always the path of the heart. Wow!!! Eric M - Chicago

4Soul searching at it's best  Mar 10, 2005
I'm not sure how to catagorize this book, it's about relationships, and about love, and about lust, and about being true to one's self. It's also about having fun, and about great beaches, and other great places.

It's about the journey of one man, but I recognized my own mistakes in life, through Napoleon's, and I also learned that my mistakes, were very natural, and educational, and they shaped who I am better than my successes.

Not too many books make you think this much about yourself.

Give it a try, you'll enjoy the journey.

Overall, I envy the ability and sheer deterination of this man to do what he needed to do, and survive the trials and tribulations of life after divorce. I hope I neverhave to experience that.
