An Amazing Emotional Journey - A MUST READ!! May 27, 2008
By Amanda Roth This is a book for dog lovers & anyone who has dealt with adversity. It evokes a wide realm of emotions and ultimately shows that hard work, honesty and integrity allowed this Protagonist to succeed while sharing his love and discipline with his dogs and their owners. Anyone who reads this book will cheer for this 'under dog'. I highly recommend this brilliant book. I want him to be my dog walker!

An amazing book, a fresh perspective on life... Aug 02, 2008
By J. Rust I've ordered several of these so far as gifts for friends and family. It is a wonderful account of life in the Big Apple from a fresh perspective that is really quite eye opening.
I believe this book rates up there with Bridges of Madison County in terms of its social impact. It really makes you stop and think about life, and our interactions with others as we all go about our own struggles etc.
You'll learn some incredible advice on dealing with dogs...AND humans. I guess walking a dog is sort of like walking yourself...this book provides an insight on life that is really very deeply moving...and it does make you stop and think about "The Brisk Walk" thru life we all share.

A Brisk Read Nov 03, 2008
By Barry J. Nevins Rodrigo has written a very moving and emotional account of his journey thus far in the world. He has shared his experiences with both humans and animals in ways that touch the heart and knot the stomach. It takes some people a lifetime to learn the lessons of life, and some never do. Rodrigo appears to have risen above the personal struggles we all face, indeed he has triumphed in the face of very difficult experiences early in life. For a person from another country whose first language is not English to have written and published a book at all is an exceptional accomplishment! Yes, there are some incidences where grammar and/or spelling do not represent a certain standard of writing, but this does not in any way detract from the substance of the book, and as a matter of fact, in my opinion, I found it more endearing and revealing of the spirit in which the book was written; an incredible love of and devotion to man's best friend. Of course there may be some instances of reader disagreement with some passages, as there would be with any true face-to-face conversation. Despite this, I believe that this man can truly talk to and understand animals, and all persons should strive to achieve that outstanding ability, if they truly wish to experience a relationship with their animal partners in life. We do see too many instances of animals being treated as human fashion accessories, and this should be as much of an outrage to us as any other exploitation or abuse. Expressing heartfelt emotions of anger, frustration, impatience and even contempt are just as difficult to put into words as are more positive emotions of love, compassion and joy. Indeed they are equally appropriate as well. In no way would the words "juvenile rant" be applicable in reference to this book or this author. This book is presented in a passionate, fiercely loyal voice. Anyone who has ever loved an animal can recognize that at once. I look forward to gaining further insight and knowledge from Rodrigo, both in person and from his written works to come.

A Wonderful Book Sep 24, 2008
By T. Barker This is not just a story about a dog walker. It's the most direct account of a life's journey that I've read. It is truly a spiritual inspiration for everyone.

wonderpup extraordinaire May 28, 2008
By Joelle M. Moore
"dog lover"
This is story dear to my heart. Richer has a way of letting the hand he was dealt become the winning hand. I cried and laughed. For all dog lovers and for anyone thinking of getting a dog.
