The Cabal

Three unlikely heroes are bound together to solve the secrets surrounding what really happened on 9-11: Jason, a distinguished Washington journalist who gets his groove back; Manuel, a young anarchist who lives near a military facility known as “Area 51”; and an alluring and enigmatic mystery woman. This fast-paced political satire with its entangled story lines grips the reader from the first to the last page and makes our hearts beat for its heroes. We are privy to what goes on behind the closed doors of the White House, and we are utterly surprised to see when Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden will show up, and where. And we hold our breath for a most unusual couple in Washington who join the fight for freedom. Our heroes’ quest puts them into great danger because the dark and evil forces don't want their secrets exposed. Amidst the intrigue, secrecy, and clandestine activity of The Cabal, love, sex, and friendship conjoin, and finally the hidden story about the day that changed America will be exposed.

5very fine read, for sure  Dec 10, 2008
By Barbara Foster "Prof. Barbara Foster"

A fascinating and darkly funny book that makes you bite your nails. You can't put it down to the last page. The whole thing reads like an episode of the X-files, just with sex and romance. The story is bordering on the absurd, still you keep asking yourself: Is this what has really happened with the World Trade Center and behind the scenes in the White House? Can that be real? Well, maybe now we will find out.

4Guilty pleasure!  Oct 14, 2008
By J. Rembar
"Cabal" is one of my top guilty pleasures for this year. With the behind-the-scenes at the White House things that go on, it confirms and elaborates on what I have thought about our President, who is pictured in some of his less-than-stellar and all too believable shocking and sometimes embarrassing moments. His wife is portrayed as the long-suffering woman she must be, who is able to find relief in a wonderful way in an almost post-racial society (well, at least in some scenes)... Tells the "truth" about conspiracies at the top of our government, and internationally -- and it is fun.

5Great, sexy political thriller  Sep 24, 2008
By Alex G. Frank "book dude"
American politics haven't ever been treated this way before. Saul Bloodworth is a pseudonym for a journalist who writes so dangerously, a real name can't be revealed. I loved this book because it dealt with conspiracy and political intrigue in new ways - its not just some boring non-fiction, but brings all our "GREAT" (sarcastic) leaders into an alternate, but revealing, universe.
