The Church Can Change The World: Living from the Inside Out

Jimmy Seibert and Antioch Community Church are passionate, zealous about loving God and making Him known in all the earth. Throughout their humble journey of simple devotion and obedience, God has overwhelmed them with His faithfulness, goodness and power. The result – a church that is touching and changing the world for the Kingdom of God. The Church Can Change the World reads like an extension of the book of Acts – men and women committed to the gospel, no matter the cost, and God’s miraculous presence infusing their steps with effectiveness. “God wants to be known in all the earth. He wants to rightly distribute Himself so that all can hear and all can know. The way He has chosen to do that is through the church. We follow in the footsteps of thousands who have gone before us, but it is our time, it is our hour to see the coming of the Lord, to be a part of God’s dream of answering His heart’s cry.” (Jimmy Seibert – The Church Can Change the World)

5Powerful Message  Aug 07, 2008
By K. Laughlin "kaljr"
I highly reccommend this book for anyone looking to grow in their faith and have their understanding stretched about what God can do through their own home church.

This book contains many stories and devotional thoughts from the first 20 years of Antioch Community Church - a small non-denominational church in Waco, TX that God has used to start churches all over the world.

5God is at work through Antioch's humility and obedience!  Jun 30, 2009
By Joseph M. Mazzenga
This book has been so inspiring to our family. Our daughter attends Antioch in Waco and we have been so thrilled at what God is doing in her life. We have prayed our entire lives for her to walk closely with her God and through Antioch Community Church, she is living a life for Him that is more that we could ever ask or dream of. We will be forever grateful for Jimmy and the ministry at Antioch that started a few years before she was born!! We are thrilled beyond belief that this church would be part of God's plan for our daughter and for our family. We are growing immensely from what she is learning and sharing with us.

5Inspiring stories that feel like a dinner conversation at a family reunion  May 27, 2010
By Kurt Conner
This is a warm and inspiring collection of anecdotes about what God has done through the organization that is now Antioch Community Church and Antioch Ministries International. It has the feel of sitting around a family gathering and reminiscing about shared histories. Jimmy writes most of the book, but there are numerous testimonies and observations along the way from various members and friends of the church, with a scrapbook of favorite photos to punctuate the various stories. The book has very few academic sections to teach about specific doctrinal issues, and instead, Jimmy gives example after example to show how he and his friends have tried to live out what they learn about who God is. I had some contact with Antioch when I was a student at Baylor, then I was an active member of the Boston church plant for three years, so I knew many of the people Jimmy describes, and that may give me an unfair bias when it comes to a review of the book, but I still think that a total stranger could pick it up and feel the warmth of the community, be touched by how God is moving, and take inspiration for pursuing a closer relationship with Jesus.

5It's all about Him and Them!  Jan 12, 2010
By Rebecca J. Weatherly "beckajane"
If Waco, Texas, conjures up images of David Koresh in your mind, read this book and have your ideas of what comes out of Waco changed forever! I read this book in one day. It is that readable and that fascinating. Pastor Jimmy Seibert takes you through his journey from a teenage convert to an on-fire Baylor student to the pastor of a fast-growing and world-changing church. You will thrill at his stories of God showing up in power in foreign lands and even in Waco, and you will laugh as you read his account of using a dead body in an airport to bring many to salvation. If God is not on the move in your church or your life, this book will inspire you to go deeper, believe God more fully, and perhaps even to ask your pastor to read it!

5Amazing!!!  Aug 17, 2011
By C. Willson
We have an Awesome God that is moving and working all around the world! This books is full of testimonies that will inspire you and challenge you to believe for more of God in your life and in the world around you. I highly recommend this book for anyone, especially if you are wondering what God could do through any person or community that is fully in love with Him and submitted to His will and purposes throughout the earth. This book is a great read, you won't be able to put it down.
