5Best book I've read in a while!  Apr 13, 2007
By Samantha Matthews "Sam"
As I was riding along cross-country with Georgi and his precious load of a carton of eggs, not only did I acquaint myself with a very colorful cast of characters - Russians, Americans and other nationalities across a very broad spectrum of society and income levels - but with the public and secret workings of hedge-funds too! After all, this is a legal thriller at its best! Even the protagonist is not who he seems: not the reckless and clueless youth straight out of Russia, or even the over-worked and romantically-challenged New York attorney Michael who unwittingly gets in the thick of it all, but the quiet, thoughtful Detective Misha who ventures to unravel the extremely complex criminal tangle that shakes up a dance-hall in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, erupts a fist-fight in a Palo Alto board-room, stirs an emerald ring complete with knuckle into the Brazilian fare of a Manhattan restaurant and keeps readers everywhere turning pages.
