The College Journey: From College to Career, 2009

The purpose of The College Journey: From College to Career is to help each student and his/her family find the right college match. This book is dedicated to the premise that there is a “best” college for every prospective college student. It is based on the theory, according to Howard Gardner, that every capable student should aim to develop his/her five minds: disciplined, synthesizing, creative, respectful, and ethical-spiritual.

5The College Journey  Mar 11, 2009
I read this book and decided to buy a copy for my cousin whose two sons are in high school. My cousin read the book in two days in December. One son is a senior in high school and she said that she wished that she had had the book when her son was a junior. The book answered a lot of questions about colleges that she has been having these past two years. Parents should probably consider getting this book when their children are in their freshman or sophomore year in high school to allow for planning.

5Very Useful.  Sep 30, 2008
This is a very useful approach to guiding a student in their college choice. I most like the idea of assessing both the student and the college to find a match.

5Excellent Book  Jul 22, 2008
"College Journey 2009" should be very helpful to parents and their high schoolers who want to find a college that matches their needs and passions. It has good new ideas and many good recommendations of great colleges. The book is easy to read and will serve you well over the next few years.
