This book expands on the provocative argument of theologian G.K. Chesterton that Christianity has not actually been tried. All denominations have a small piece of a lost treasure, according to the author, but none have all of it as they assume. This book shows with facts, quotes and simple logic that only a handful of church leaders who shunned titles and denominations, have tried the Christianity Jesus and his apostles practiced. In chapters such as If Only Fundamentalists Were Fundamentalists, A Treasure Found and Lost, and 10 Things the Apostles Did Not Believe or Practice, the author shows how most church leaders have denied people access to God, and have denied even Christians what Jesus promised. There were exceptions, whose remarkable spiritual adventures are also documented in this thought provoking book.
