Intelligent AND entertaining Apr 25, 2006

Descent of the Hands is one of those rare works that manages to make you think while at the same time keeping you at the edge of your seat. In this short, extremely readable novel, Mr Gauntt evokes Poe, Lovecraft, and Welles in the creation of a claustrophobic world that had this reader as anxious for escape as the protaganist.
