5This book is magical and amusing - a must buy for kids  Oct 20, 2008
By Mr. Harry W. Randall
I bought this book after reading about the author in a magazine online.I was pleasantly surprised to see a writer using the same kind of genre as Quentin Blake and Roald Dahl.

This book is a joy for both children and adults.

The drawings invite young children to join in with the characters on their journey through their muddlesome world. As an adult, I enjoyed it just as much as my grandsons, and the family have read it cover to cover. There are laugh out loud moments, and I can see this young author going far.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in magical stories with adventure, or anyone whose children like books with talking animals, far fetched characters and a jolly ending.

I think this book would be enjoyed by the older child, maybe six or seven years upwards.

The fact the drawings are black and white can encourage the child to do some coloring in. Well, it did in our house!
