Solid Freedom on the Way! Jul 07, 2010
By Grace Nikao This book is an in-depth and highly insightful examination of the three gifts (and their powerful impact) that the Father gave the Prodigal Son when he returned home! We have each received these three Gifts by Christ's embrace of us on the Cross.
This book's great value stems from learning the ability to intervene at the exact point where we are tempted to believe the enemy's lies about: 1) our value, 2) our circumstances and 3) our hurts. An excellent adjunct teaching to Joseph Prince's two books (Destined to Reign and Unmerited Favor) ... and squares with his teaching on the comprehensive nature of Grace and walking in the freedom of God's love and favor. Paradigm-shifting!
In this resource, we get an excellent, balanced definition of what "Humility" truly is. If we combine this definition with the revelation of who God created us to be in terms of our specific Divine Imprint, gifting, mantles and anointing (our unique, individual, one-of-a-kind spiritual "hard-wiring" that God built into us when He created us), we become a virtually unstoppable, unoffendable, Lover of God and Lover of People for God's Kingdom purposes(wearing spiritual Teflon, as it were), despite assaults on our value, despite those times when we are in the midst of tough circumstances, and despite those times when we have been hurt. Now that is some real power!
We can not only deal with assaulting present lies about our value, circumstances and hurts, but it is an excellent tool for Sozo and "self-Sozo" to get at the roots of the lies we believed from our past when we were wounded as a child, and throughout life, in the areas of our value, circumstances and hurts. With what has been transpiring in our economy and in our world in recent months, many are voicing how they feel "overcome" and "hopeless" due to "circumstances" ... to the point of "giving up". This book helps us intervene at the point where we are tempted to believe that the devil has the last word on our circumstances ... and replaces it with the truth that God is always Good, He always loves us, and His love for us is ALWAYS the final authority over our circumstances. Powerful!
Dellenger's definition of Pride: being duped into believing that: 1) our value is not priceless
2) our value is unequal to others
3) our value is changeable
The above lies set us up to step onto satan's ever-faster-moving treadmill of selfish ambition that demands that we "prove" (or defend!!!) ourselves and our value ... prove that we have "value", or "more value than others" (constant comparing and feeling better or worse, above others, beneath others or wounded or misunderstood by them), sliding up and down the "value" rope that we are trying to climb in life depending upon how others treat us or mistreat us, and gives us the ability to defuse our emotional "triggers" ... which are rooted in a lie the enemy sowed into us at the time of a wound ... a lie that we embraced and believed ... because we were unable to access the Truth in that moment.
Additionally, we learn to spot and break agreement with the lies we conclude about ourselves from our life circumstances ... all of the subtle manifestations and forms that pride takes in the world system ... and all of the fool's errands that it sends us on to try to establish, prove or defend our value!
His definition of Humility: 1) My value is priceless.
2) My value is unchangeable.
3) My value is equal to others'... including my offenders'!
Dellenger quotes English author and poet John Ruskin (1819-1900), "I believe that the first test of a truly great man is his humility. I don't mean by humility doubt of his power. But really great men have a curious feeling that the greatness is not of them, but through them. And they see something divine in every other man and are endlessly, foolishly, incredibly merciful."
The ramifications of this teaching, if embraced, are gigantic in proportion for walking in a level of freedom and forgiveness ... stepping out of each and every trap the enemy has set to destroy our embracing our incredibly valuable Divine Imprint and our powerful effectiveness for The Kingdom of God. And, we can learn to see others, even those who have hurt us, are hurting us, or will hurt us ... with the eyes of Jesus, Who was able to forgive all at the point of the deepest betrayal and pain.
As Dellenger points out, "When our enemies are allowed to hurt us, we become their slaves." WE actually have control over whether or not we will receive Resentment from a hurt ... or whether we will off-load the intended harm from the enemy by refusing to receive hurt and offense ... by Forgiving and thereby walking free of it!
The book includes an explanation of "10 obstacles to Forgiveness" which he de-bunks to speed the way for this powerful tool that God has provided for self-liberation.
And if our young people could be taught this truth while still young ... they would be able to immediately defuse and avoid so many of the arrows and emotional bullets that the enemy shoots at them in their youth to wound, cripple and deflect them from their Kingdom identity, purposes and destiny!
I highly recommend this for those seeking freedom from wounding, and who seek solid dignity in life and Peace from all past and present assaults to their value and for those seeking freedom and Peace in the midst of circumstances that feel overwhelming. Also valuable for those who seek the ability to resist and offload hurts and injustices from others that would afflict, harm, depress and entrap them in the strait-jacket of bitterness and resentment, and all of the harm these things bring to our lives and our relationships with self, God, family, friends, in our community and in our workplace.
Truly, this book, as it claims, will give deep insight into how to become virtually "hurt-proof". If its truths are embraced and implemented, it is a walk down Freedom Lane ... and the scenery becomes more beautiful the farther we go, and the destination is Magnificent!!!
Enjoy ... and walk Free!

This book has been a life altering journey. For the first time, I can actually see progress towards spiritual healing. And I can actually say that I have a much firmer understanding of what true forgiveness is. If you are looking for a gift on how to help others in your life, or want to finally be free of the emotional baggage that you have carried for years, this is the book for you.
Truth triumphs by guarding emotion Jan 08, 2010
By Kenneth Sexton Rob's text will get you to thinking differently about hurtful events that each of us will endure in life's journey. He shows how we willingly participate along with our natural human emotions choosing to multiply enemies or being a perpetual victim of people and circumstances. By emphasizing key truths found in God's word about our value and identity in Christ, Rob coaches to embrace God's best: rightly valuing yourself enough to overcome deeply wounding situations and loving others in concert with God's command.

By nancy The principals shared in this book are life changing. This process of healing creates permanent healing from life's hurts and provide ways of preventing any future hurts. It was also eye-opening in helping me to understand that God loves us ALL unconditionally, even those that hurt us. God loves them too! I recommend this book and the process to people who need to heal from life-long hurts.
