4Practical Advice for Small Business  Jun 02, 2009
By Daniel Eigenmann
Dr Chapman has written a very practical book for small business owners who want to grow their businesses.
The book includes simple examples and templates in a format that enables time-poor entrepreneurs to hit the ground running. In fact, the lack of 'fluff' is very refreshing.
The book is divided into two parts:
The first section ("The life of a Business") covers the 5 stages all businesses go through and provides practical examples on to recognize each stage, what the main issues are, how to survive and how to move to the next one (or avoid the last one).
The second section ("The Five Pillars") describes in practical details Dr Chapman's five pillars:
1. The plan
2. Marketing strategy
3. Business systems
4. People systems
5. You!
The fifth pillar (You!) is probably one of the mmost important one. As Dr Chapman writes, unless you are prepared to do the work, all the knowledge in the world is not going to help.
So unless you are ready to do the work - even a practical book like this one is not going to help.
But if you are ready to do the work - this book will provide you with a great foundation to creat and grow a successful business.

Dr Chapman has written a very practical book for small business owners who want to grow their businesses. The simple terms and expressions in this book gives a clear understanding to every reader. With inspirational and uplifting directions all business owners can renovate their own business and transform them, but as Mr Chapman pointing it out the changes has to happen in the thinking of the individuals.
I thoroughly recommend this Book, for any business that wants to "Grow" and become a valuable asset.

This book by Dr Greg Chapman is a must to every business owner, or whoever is thinking about business.
The simple terms and expressions in this book gives a clear understanding to every reader. It is a great book and I highly recommend it not only for the beginners but the current business owners as well and use it as a mirror. Compare the current situation to the book as a template for success.
