Adventures in art and living. Mar 29, 2011
By Zonk If you want to write an interesting autobiography, a good place to start would be buying a vintage motorhome which is guaranteed to break down at frequent intervals, and travel the country selling your artwork. It reminded me of a real life version of Robbins' Skinny Legs and AllSkinny Legs and All
Dori has a gift for writing, painting, and creating a loving, interesting life out of a difficult start

Possibilities Feb 01, 2011
By Julia Schmitt Most autobiographies are hu-hum, but this one sparkles with pathos, honesty and humor.
Reading this helps me to envision living ouside of unconventional bounds. Very worthwhile and unique.

Great read! May 20, 2008
By Isabel Lewis I'm glad to see this book is still in print. It deserved far more publicity from its publisher -- it's funny, moving, interesting. If there had been reality TV back when Dori and Joe were traveling, their journey would have made one great show, and they'd be stars right now. I highly recommend this book. It deserved to be a big seller.
