Absolutely worthless vanity publishing Apr 12, 2007
This has got to be one of the worst books I've ever seen, let alone foolishly purchased.
I had read through the gambling systems section in "How to Gamble at Casinos Without Being Plucked Like a Chicken" -- an excellent book - and was interested in learning more, perhaps seeing a full mathematical analysis of Martinelli betting, or Fibonachi series as it applies to gambling systems, something of that sort. The little bit on systems there was interesting enough to warrant further investigation. That's how I found this book. And by it's title and appearance, I took it to be a book-long exposition of gambling systems and how they break down as relates to casino gambling, numerical sequences and which games they best apply to.
Boy, was I wrong.
Here's a 'system' from this rag: Walk around a casino and look for slot machnes that haven't been cashed out. That, according to the authors, is a SYSTEM.
the authors have a section on Baccarrat and begin by saying "I've only played baccarrat once..." WHAT? You've played a total of ONE time and you're writing about it in a book? That's horribly misleading, to write a book about 'gambling' when you have less experience than millions of CASUAL casino players.
The authors claim that blackjack is a BAD game to play, since it's so 'up and down', when ANYONE knows that blackjack is one of the few beatable games in a casino.
The table of contents doesn't even contain page numbers, making it virtually useless.
You ready for this doozy? A 'system' for betting lotto is to bet numbers that 'mean something to you'. This is beyond insipid. This is literally one of the worst pieces of misreprentation I've ever seen in published form.
They have a system for playing the 'big six' wheel after saying blackjack gives bad odds. That says it all. Oh, and their 'system' for the wheel? 'Bet on numbers that payout higher'. Is that even a 'system'? Anyone?
There is no analysis of any actual gambling system in this book. It's a worthless piece of trash. Truly, I can't emphasize enough what a waste of money it is.
Do not buy this under any circumstances. It's privately printed, and doesn't have a UPC symbol, so the authors apparently just printed it themselves in the hopes of finding suckers (such as myself, I guess) to take it at its word. Unforgivable misrepresentation, and totally and completely useless, even for a casual read.
I have never returned an item, but this is being sent back tomorrow.
