A Must Read Oct 21, 2011

The God of Anna is one of the most compelling novels I've read in a very long time. It takes us to a time in Florida before the theme parks and the vacation destination to real people coping with the difficulties of real life. The story is told through the eyes of a young girl Anna who has to deal with a Mother who loves her, yet in some ways finds her in the way of trying to hold on to her own lost youth. Anna faces many challenges from hurricanes to abuse, but always come through with the resolution of character that can only be the spirit of the author herself.
For a wonderful read which is like stepping into a Highwayman painting itself as well as glimpsing into the mind of a child with no one to turn to but herself and God--this is the book!

Great book. Found myself visualizing the places and people of the time. Loved the characters and how strong Anna was and her intuition of the good and bad in people.
Wonderful Story Oct 06, 2006
By Kim R. Streit Ms. Greenhoe has done a superb job of capturing the innocence and imagnation of childhood, and from this perspective shares deep insights on living with adversity and growing into higher consciousness and purpose in spite of it. It is a wonderfully fun and easy read, and the lightness of discovery and fantasy offset the poignant underlying message.
