If You Like Mafia Stories Nov 09, 2009
By Christopher M. Crumbley "The Godsons: The Trinity Alliance" by Cal Palmieri is an intriguing novel that will leave you questioning many things. It focuses on organized crime similar to the Godfather. The author has done a tremendous amount of research and it is very evident when reading this novel. His facts are accurate and the story details the time period with great conviction. But, the novel reads fluently and contains a powerful story. He intricately combines the story with the history. He tells a few "secrets" that illustrate the corruption found in the US government. History buffs will enjoy this book, but everyone will be drawn in by the aspects of books that everyone enjoys, crime, lies, and power.
Crime thriller for "the family" Nov 06, 2009
By GR Expanding out from the personal growth/self-help genre, Carl "Tuchy" Palmieri gives us a crime thriller to boot. Connections made between the government and "the family" so engrossing, you'll wonder where the fictional tale ends and the truth begins. Recommended for crime and mystery readers round the world. One thing to note, the book is quite lengthy, coming it at over 700 pages. Solution? Grab your favorite reading spot and settle in for a nice long read.
Politicians and Mafia - captivating story! Oct 29, 2009
By J. Cormier Politicians and the mafia make a great book anytime the two groups are put together. Let's face it, they're after the same thing, something they can't have whether it's a position a title or a job and they need someone to do something they can't do legally! This book titled "The Godsons: The Trinity Alliance" by Carl Palmieri covers it all. The book maybe long, but it's captivating! It's about crime and corruption. There isn't any stone unturned or anything left to the imagination. This is a total switch in Carl Palmieri's normal writing style and yet a nice refreshing change. It would be nice to see more of it!
The Family is Back in Town Oct 28, 2009

"Defining normal..."
"The Godsons: The Trinity Alliance" is a weekend book for sure, but, worth it! It was a nice change from the usual Carl "Tuchy" Palmieri printings we're use to since we know him for the self-help and quotation books. Not here and not today...you know if the government is involved there are going to be secrets. Someone must have the power and it's never the one who thinks has it. Now, let's add some "family protection" and then sit back and see who's running the show. There's more detail here than you can imagine, but, you'll appreciate it more since it keeps you in touch and reading. Suspense, sex, secrets, mystery, crime...ah! Great job to you both - Carl Palmieri and Don Gerrard!
If you liked The Godfather, you'll love this... Oct 27, 2009
By Laura Wheeler Tuchy Palmieri does it again! This is an engrossing read full of suspense and action. The connection Palmieri draws between the mob and the national government is fascinating and engaging. Also impressive is the way the book spans two generations. Excellent read!
