The Good Witch's Book of Myths and Legends

The good witches of the world are rarely the ones in the limelight. The good witch Tchiw, who always manages to get her spells wrong, lives in a forest in a gingerbread house she created, by accident, of course. Every Sunday afternoon, a group of children that live on a farm near her come to visit for tea and to hear her tales of how the world was created. Tchiw's stories involve Lin Li, a beautiful princess who is married to a river god and is then released from her marriage by a wind demon. The wind demon, Thornton, places Lin Li in the middle of a dark forest, hoping that she will sink into despair. Instead, she grows fond of the creatures in the woods and eventually becomes a wood nymph. The Good Witch's Book of Myths and Legends tells the tale of Lin Li and Thornton and how their interactions create thunder, volcanoes and other geological mysteries.
