I purchased the Goopy Ghost for my grandchildren. It was a big hit! And, thanks to the Goopy Ghost gift book, so am I. It is delightful for boys and girls, ages four to eight. I plan to purchase the sequel next along with The Amazing Flight of Little Ray. I will let you know what my grandkids think of them!

Halloween is about ghosts, right? Ever wonder what happened to the spirit of that pumpkin you so meticulously carved up? You imagine that just because you threw the seeds in the garbage you are safe? Think again! In this humorous tale, that goopy ghost gets up to plenty of mischief until two children, Steven and Sally, capture it. Bright orange pictures accompany this rhyming adventure.

V. R. Duin is an excellent author of Childrens Books. The Goopy Ghost Series of books are written in a way to keep children interested as well as to help teach them important life lessons. I personally know that these books are being used in schoolsand added to school libraries across the country. Besides writing excellent books, V. R. Duin donates a lot of time to children, making appearences at schools to read her books. She truly cares about the childrens education. I highly recommend these books to parents, grand parents, uncles and aunts.

The Goopy Ghost is the first children's book I have read for awhile as I am 35 and it just transported me back to Halloweens spent with my family! The illustrations are just so well matched to the story and the story line is great!!! I would recommend this book to anyone who has kids, loves Halloween, and/or likes a cute book about ghosts. I am so thankful to my friend for recommending this book and I will order more books about the Goopy Ghost. I have been in a book club for years and love to read for recreation and The Goopy Ghost really perked my interest. Even my Dad read Goopy and enjoyed it. Thank you to author, V.R. Duin for a great introduction back into the genre of children's books!!!
