Not Just for the Green of Heart Oct 20, 2009
By T. O'shea One of the most informative books I have read. Being a professor in Irish literature, I was skeptical about reading this book. A dear friend of mine suggested it to me and it came with rave reviews. I gave it a whirl and I was blown away. This book is incredible and highly recommend it!

Very enjoyable book with stuff to learn about ireland Oct 10, 2009

This is a collection of funny, unusual facts about Ireland that's a little bit different. There's a great section of quotes about Irelend that I've never seen anywhere else, all kinds of facts I didn't know about Irish culture - stuff about strange customs they have of bumping a baby's head on the floor and superstitions about fairies and the like - that really show how different the history and viewpoint are there than in the U.S. There are also alot of little stories from Irish newspapers recently that are very quirky and cool. Also good chapters about the meaning of "craic" and celtic knot designs. A really enjoyable read if you like Ireland.
A Must Read Feb 01, 2010
By Nicola Farman Robert Sullivan's book is riveting. It's a rare treat to find a book as compelling and as interestingly written. Clearly no stranger to Ireland, Sullivan's text grabs the reader and suddenly, hours have gone by. I highly recommend this book for all who are Irish, those who love all things Irish, or just wish they were Irish! Tremendous fun.

A perfect companion to a travel guide Jan 05, 2010
By Kathlene Collins A thoroughly entertaining and sometimes touching view of Ireland and the Irish. A perfect read during the Aer Lingus flight to Shannon.
