Honey of a Story Feb 17, 2011

A warm-hearted look at pet adoption, this book would make anyone smile - child and adult alike. This looks at the adoption of a cat realistically, and underscores how it's life is saved. There are concerns about how the new cat will affect the older cats, and when the cat is later an only cat, how it's life changes with the addition of a new friend. Kids will understand this - fitting into a group, and making new friends. Only a sincere and caring animal lover could've written this book!

Wonderful Story for Anyone who Loves Pets Jan 06, 2010

I sent this book to my niece and nephew and read the whole thing myself. I am so in love with my dog and had a cat for 18 years. This book made me teary-eyed. I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful story.

My 4 year old daughter wanted the story read and re-read four times. The story is sweet and generous. It relays the importance of rescuing animals. Really loved the story.

I bought two copies of this book, one for me and one for a friend's son, because it's just a wonderful story for a child who has a cat - as my friend's son does - or for anyone who's thinking of adopting a pet - as my husband and I did. I love the author's take on animals, it's so true how animals come to us and the ways they change our lives. Love this book, hope the author comes out with a third one soon!
Perfect book to read to kids Dec 30, 2009

I bought The Honey Boy Story as a Christmas gift for my father. He is a volunteer "grandpa reader" at his local school. I thought this was the perfect book for him include in his book bag. The kids will definitely enjoy the pictures as well as the cute story. Dad's looking forward to his first chance to read it to a child.
