You dreamed of being lovers, partners, companions, and friends. You told each other you would always be in love. Yet you find your passion fading and wish for a new energy. Staying in love takes more than a set of life skills. It is an act of the imagination. You once pursued each other with energy and passion. They can sustain you when the going gets tough and your dreams are tested. They can propel you back into the future you once dreamed.

5excellent resource  Apr 15, 2009
By Lynn James "Lynn"
In my 20 years of counseling couples, I have read many books, searching for ones to recommend to couples that are immediatly applicable, practical, and encouraging. The Honeymoon Habit is an ideal combination of exercises, tools, examples (vingiettes), well articulated theory, metaphors, and latest research. For those who also consider the spiritual dimensions of healing and transformation, it is excellent in lifting up that element while being inclusive of the broad range of religious beliefs. The book is positive and strengths focused while also vividly describing how relationships can break down and ways to prevent this from happening as well as fixing problems that have happened. It is a fast read and easy to pick up and put down again without losing the momentum (which is also a bonus) I highly recommend this book to both clinicians and all those who want to strengthen their relationships.
