My 4 year old daughter is extremely allergic to dairy and eggs. This book helped her realize that others suffer from allergies too and that she is not alone. Also, it helped me to understand what her body is really going through when she is having an allergic reaction. The author managed to make the reader feel understood as well as informed in a very lighthearted way.

Life is difficult for families with food allergies. The author gives children a light hearted laugh in a tough situation. Very cleverly written and SO needed. I really felt it helped my daughter's self esteem too. My daughter has been taking it everywhere she goes and showing her friends. She is 9, but it is appropriate for younger ages too. I highly recommend this.

What a fine attitude for dealing with the scratchy side of life! Jill Grabowski's poems are light and downright funny! Kids who have allergies, eczema or asthma learn they are not alone! Kids who don't learn about those that do! And so do the grown-ups who read along! The illustrations by Max and Elena Stasyuk are great! The Itchy Kids Club website is just as cute as the book - and very informative and full of references for living with the itchies!

The Itchy Kids Club is a must-read for all children and adults with or without allergies! Kids will love the fun and witty rhymes while at the same time they will find out they are definitely not alone in this itchy world. The book explains so much about allergies. People need to understand allergies whether they have them or not because there can be serious consequences. How I wish this book were available when my daughter was in nursery school and needed emergency care after a snack of peanut butter crackers and orange juice! Everyone needs to understand the consequences. The book is a fun way for allergic children to understand they're not alone and yet understand why they really can't have some of the forbidden treats! This book explains it all in such a fun way!

I am only allergic to penicillin, so I never have really been around food allergies, etc. The Itchy Kids Club was very informative. Recently, I have found out my niece has allergies, and it makes her go number 2. This book helped explain to me some of the allergies that exist, and how they can manifest themselves. I think this book is a must read for any child with allergies, as it'll help them not only learn more, but also give them knowledge on how to deal with situations that may arise. It seems like there are more and more children allergic to different foods, so this book is great for any child...so they can be sympathetic and helpful to their friends in school that may be suffering with allergies. The poems in this book are written in rhyme and will entertain your child while still being informative. And, the illustrations are top notch. Definitely a great book to add to your collection.
