Cousin Joyce & C.L.Settles, It was great to have meet you , your book was Awesome!!!! The family tree has so many branches & it was great reading. I have dreamed of someday producing a movie about your dad....some of the information not mentioned in the book would make a great movie. I am truly blessed to have visited with you & my great aunt Carrie. Hope to see you soon.

Mommy, so is this what all the traveling, interviewing of strangers, and chasing down old documents was all about? You did an awesome job. I anticipated the publishing of this book for so long and I am amazed at what you have done with all of that information you collected. I would have never imagined in a million years that our family had such a historical relevance. You have discovered a wonderful gift and I am so proud of you. Don't stop here, I challenge you to do it again!!!

Mrs. Settles, by telling the story of her own family history, brings to life a excellent history of pioneers in the American west. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in American History.
