The Laptop: Cyber Murders

Computer scientists have long studied the development of artificial intelligence while little progress has been made in its achievement. The Laptop is a story about a computer design that's believed to have originated in an obscure German settlement in the Siberian Desert early in the nineteen seventies. The architectural composition of its operating system appears to have surpassed the quest for electronic intellect. Its embodiment was made manifest in an unlikely laptop computer that was recently purchased at an estate sale in the United States following the demise of its owner in an apparent suicide. Inexplicably, The Laptop is able to bridge the gap between electronic systems and cerebral computation in ways unknown by present day computer scientists and unimagined by future hypothetical theorist. As the new owner was soon to discover, it has processing capabilities that far exceed any ordinary 3.4 GHz CPU and as the machine consumed his life, those he came into contact with were destroyed by unbelievable catastrophic events. If you fear computers, you'll want to read this story. If you wonder about the intentions of computer scientists and information technology professionals, this book will engage your imagination and raise your anxiety level.

5Book title changed to protect the innocent!  Aug 09, 2007
The title of this book had to be changed so that innocent laptop computer users wouldn't mistakenly order the book and be grossed out by the terrible cyber violence contained in the story.
