The Lion Den: :Dreamchild

When young Toby is murdered-the second child to die violently in the same house-teenager Steven is determined to solve the crime. His friend, Deborah, begs him to change his mind, certain that evil resides in that house. Young and fearless, Steven enters and, in a moment of mysterious violence, disappears forever. Eight years later, Deborah is piecing her life back together in an mental hospital. The staff considers her recollections of that day not only faulty, but the creation of a sick and damaged psyche. Her dreams are poignant, sometimes so clear that she doubts they can be anything but real, such as dreams of the little girl who seems to struggling to pull Deborah into her reality. What happened that night? And who is Tonya, this woman who has seen it all? The Lion Den is a chilling and compelling tale of evil and redemption, discovery and healing. Even more, it is one very good read

4The Lion Den: Dreamchild  Nov 07, 2008
By Lyn M. Geary
This is the first in a series of books that leads you into a world where you believe in evil around every corner. What at first seem to be the imaginations of children soon becomes what we have pushed to the back of our minds when we grow up. Evil exits and can only be fought if we allow ourselves to look upon it. The Lion Den is a story of what happens when real evil is allowed to take hold and the fight that only a few will take on to stop it. The next book will hopefully continue this story and further take us into this dark world.

5One of the best books I've ever read!  Jul 18, 2007
By Leslie Wilmot
This book was amazing! I finished it very quickly because I just couldn't seem to put it down. The story kept me on the edge of my seat. I never read books more than once...too many books, too little time...but I will definately read this one again. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would highly recommend this book.

5Outstanding Book!!!  Jun 30, 2006
By Wendy Schiner
I have the pleasure of knowing Derek personally and therefore this book has more meaning to me since I know his personality and imagination. This book was outstanding. I am not a big reader and would not have normally picked this type of topic in a book to read, but I could not put the book down. It usually takes me awhile to finish a book since I don't have much free time to read, but I started reading this book at bedtime one night and two nights later I had finished it. Each night I couldn't wait to get back to reading it to find out what was going to happen next. Now I can't wait for the next story to come out, and find out where he is going with this story. I would highly recommend reading this book. It is an easy read and it keeps your attention from page 1. Great job Derek and we are so proud of you!!!
