I picked this book up rather expecting it to be a Christian version of Nancy Pearl's BOOK LUST - which I love, by the way. Instead I found a series of personal reflections based on books that have had special meaning in the author's life. Even if you never get around to reading the recommended book themselves, her insights and responses to the literature are well worth reading on their own. The product description might give the impression that reading this book would be heavy going. Not the case. Although the subject matter is obviously serious, Ms.Mathieu addresses the issues with an very accessible blend of down-to-earth intellect and humor.
