Amazing Book Aug 27, 2008
My dad wrote this book. It is so funny and so much exactly like him. I can hear him all the way through the book. This is exactly how my dad is. He is a Godly man, living for the Lord, winning souls for Jesus. His nickname should be "The Preacher". Give this book a try even if you are not a reader you will be surprised at how easy it is to enjoy this book. It's got action, adventure, and a true presentation of the gospel all the way through it. If you don't know the way to Heaven this book will help you understand how to get there through "The Preacher" explaining it all the way.

I am not an avid reader, at least not of books written for entertainment sake. I thought once I started this book I'd never get to the end since I only ever have just small blocks of time for such activities. Well, it started out that way but shortly into this book I found myself unable to put it down, and was disappointed when I had too. There were moments in the book that I found myself on the edge of my seat with the hair on the back of my neck standing up, and other tender moments with a tear in the corner of my eye. The exciting adventures and the way they were told drew me in and kept me ever wondering what was next. I was impressed by the vivid detail that allowed me to experience in my mind what it would have been like to actually be there. As a Christian man, I enjoyed seeing the gospel message interwoven throughout the stories and the glory that was afforded to God.
This book is a real gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It truly has something for everybody and I am thankful to the Author Richard Wilks for sharing it with us. I will be awaiting his next book!

Mackenzie Mountain Man-A MUST READ!! May 19, 2008
When I saw the title to this book, I thought it must be a "guy's" book. BOY, WAS I WRONG!! This book is FOR EVERYONE!! It has suspense & excitement, intermingled with warmth and joy on every page. With most books, I often get tired when reading just a few pages, BUT NOT THIS BOOK! I had to keep going at the end of each chapter to see what happened next! This book is a GREAT book for most age groups (there might be some scary parts for 5 and under). This would be a great book for a school book report, as well as a fantastic "vacation read" for adults. There is nothing but God-honoring testimony, fun & thrills on each page. Richard, I am anxious to read your next book! As you so eloquently say throughout your book: "YAHOO!"

I grew up with Richard in the 60's. We were best friend through high school; shared everything teenagers do. We hunted non stop, he was with me when I shot my first dear and elk. Yes, as he said in the book he shot a monster Bull when he was 16. That part of the book is true. I was there; he could of told you whole other true story of that day.I COULD NOT SET THIS BOOK DOWN. I felt like I was right behind him every step, just waiting to see what was around the corner. A true witness for Christ as Richard intertwined his spirituality throughout this book. By far the best I have read in years. "I AM AMAZED & BLESSED. THX Richard.

What a book!!! Richard has such a way with words that I felt like I was right there with him in the Mackenzie Mountains. One minute I was laughing to the point of tears and then I'd turn the page and read something so heart warming and endearing that I'd be in tears again! This book has absolutely everything! Action packed with a "tender" side as well. Great for men and women. In fact, my 12 year old and 6 year old daughters loved being read parts from it too. This book will not only entertain you, but will take you to a new level in your spiritual walk, no matter where that may be. I highly recommend this book to everyone. My writers group read it together and we all were blessed by it and have passed it along to all our friends. Go buy it today!!
