Unique Vantage Point Offers Insight to Success Jun 06, 2008
By Patrick M. Zampetti By taking us into the day to day process of an elite DCI corps, Cadet Hall of Fame Member, David Welch reinforces the edict that there are no shortcuts to success and how perspiration and inspiration often go hand in hand. The writing is frank and honest, and is highly recommended for anyone who wishes to learn the ins and outs of overcoming obstacles to become the absoulte best at any chosen endeavour.

Great book, expecially if you marched in the Cadets Jan 31, 2008

I marched with David in the mellophone section in '86 and remember him writing a journal, as he sat one row behind me on the bus. Who knew where the jorunal was finally going to end up? I also marched in a different corps in '82,'84, and '85, and stayed at schools with the Cadets, so it was kind of a surreal experience to read what the Cadets were going through while I was with a different group!! I really enjoyed reading the book, as I never knew all the challenges the corps had that year (multiple vehicle break downs, no food, etc.). My prayers are with David now with all he is going through medically. He is a source of inspriation for us all. "Sharon K."

By kimasaki82 This is a story...or rather one persons diary...about what it takes to achieve excellence! If you thought you knew what it took to be great, be prepared to change your thinking. Honor, connection, dedication, and mostly...love. Love for your brothers and sisters, love of what you do, love of life, and love of yourself! Be prepared to take away life lessons that can be applied anywhere. A short, easy read, and a true story, to boot!
