The Mighty Cobra and The Pink Rabbit: A Diary

Once known as the Voice of Wall Street, Miss Pink roars loudly in her entertaining illustrated memoir of a pear-shaped type-A gal struggling to reclaim her self image in the hottest place on earth: yoga teacher boot camp. This is the only book blessed by Bikram that details the nittygritty of his infamous intensive teacher training.

5A Page Turner - a hoot and must for any Bikram Yogi  Dec 08, 2007
By Lesley Kinley
I began Bikram yoga Feb 2007 and after the first class when I was lying on my sweat soaked mat in 105 degree studio thinking to myself "why am I here at 6 am?" - I was someone captivated and hooked by this yoga. I saw Miss Pink's book and was hooked from page one and had to read it completely that weekend I bought it. I shared it with a friend and every day she would come to work and say she loved reading part of the book each night and could barely wait to get back to where she left off. It's a great story and it's believeable and I related to the author. I also have had the delight of having Miss Pink as my instructor. If you know Bikram Yoga, you must read this fabulous story of Miss Pink in Bikram training.

5Wet Your Pants Funny!  May 11, 2010
By Mary Pat Cheng
Miss Pink is one of my yoga teachers. I love taking her classes because she encourages students to faithfully practice yoga AND to enjoy every minute when doing so (sometimes it feels like those 2 things are mutually exclusive). Miss Pink's journey - through Bikram teacher training AND through life - brought tears and laughter. The story of her journey is funny, witty, poignant, inspiring, touching, insightful and downright delightful. If you practice yoga, read this book and be inspired and affirmed. If you don't practice yoga, well, you should, FOR SURE, and remember to take this book on your next vacation.

5Funny, Inspiring, and Informative  Jun 26, 2009
By Joseph F. Fitzsimmons II
I've been practicing Bikram yoga for over a year now and have been thinking about enrolling in the teacher training program. I bought this book after I read about it in a Bikram yoga blog and I'm glad I did.

Miss Pink (the woman who wrote the book) is admittedly a little overweight and has an authority problem. She goes to teacher training thinking she'll be able to fly under the radar and make it through without having to change too much.

It's amusing how the training program brings up a lot of memories and obstacles for her to conquer on her way to becoming a teacher. Her funny journal entries log the progression of the insanity at teacher training which ends with an unbelievable story of her and Bikram clashing in a class (did I mention she has a problem with authority?).

All in all the book IS inspiring because I felt if Miss Pink could make it through the training a stronger person then there is hope for me. If you are interested in Bikram yoga or thinking about attending training, this book is for you.

4fun yoga diary  Mar 30, 2007
By J. Chronowski "jchronowski"
There are not images as I expected throughout the book. But the narrative is light and fun about learning yoga.
