The Moon Stallion

Children are intrigued by horses’ strength, speed, sensitivity, and beauty. Animal lover and author Candace Tong-Li is fascinated with horses, but cannot have one of her own; so she directs her passion and curiosity into her writing and drawing. Her tales about a young girl Lan Lan and her human and pony friends captivate with the imagination and sensitivity unique to a nine-year-old child. Tong-Li’s artistic and literary talent debuted in her first published book, 'Baby Crane and Other Animal Tales', written and illustrated when the author was eight years old. 'The Moon Stallion', together with 'Patch', is the second book of Candace Tong-Li's 'Lan Lan and Her Pony Friends Two-in-one Book Series', dedicated to children around the world who are learning Chinese as a second language. It follows 'Acorn and Katie' in the series and complements the independent 'Baby Crane and Other Animal Tales'. This color picture book includes text in two languages: the original English version and simplified and traditional Chinese.
