wow! Jun 26, 2009
By B. Patel Wow! I would never have thought that the novel would end in such a way. It started out slow and with all the adventures the character goes through, you would think that there would be an obvious conclusion either a positive or negative. But the ending sure takes on a different twist. I would recommend this book, as it is quite unusual, entertaining and an easy read( besides the first 2 chapters). I also think this book would be great as a movie.
Fiction that taps reality... Jun 28, 2008
By F. Chhapgar The first chapter of the novel starts off slow, but quickly takes flight as the story dives into the adventures of a middle-aged man and his determination to hand over a statuette for scientific research with the hope of helping mankind. His journey to Canada from India was filled with exciting adventures with a twist to the story at the end which perhaps illustrates the power of the human mind.
Great Read! Jun 05, 2008
By F. Chaze A short novel that is an odd mixture of realism and fantasy makes for great reading. A future in which there is a worldwide shortage of fossil fuels is not so far fetched as we are actually witnessing acute shortages and high prices even now. A "motionless traveler" who uses the mysterious powers of a statuette to rise into space and the have the earth rotate beneath him in order to move from place to place sounds fantastic. But then ideas about flying machines must have also sounded fantasic to people for centuries, till the Wright brothers actually made such a machine. A fascinating story told in a simple straightforward manner.
