Reviewed by New York Times Best-selling Author, Ellen Tanner Marsh Jan 11, 2006 The Nip Tuck Workout: Exercise Through The Eyes of a Plastic Surgeon
By Bruce Nadler
We all want to look our best, but how do we find out the best way to do it? Bookstore shelves are crammed with every kind of diet book (even the all-chocolate diet) and exercise books from aerobics to yoga, but which one will you stick with-and which one will give you the results you want?
The Nip Tuck Workout: Exercise Through the Eyes of a Plastic Surgeon by Bruce Nadler just might be the only book you'll need. Nadler, a plastic surgeon for many years as well as a certified fitness trainer and bodybuilding competition judge, is more than qualified to provide readers with a host of sensible advice. Taking on the role of chef, Nadler presents his program as if it were a fine dining experience, giving you all the ingredients you need to feel and look phenomenal. Enormous fun to read, every chapter has boldfaced questions, with detailed, easy-to-understand and implement solutions, while Nadler's supportive voice cheers you on page after page.
Whether you want to exercise at home or at a gym, Nadler gives valuable guidance and easy-to-do exercises to shape the body you desire, always stressing proper proportions and visual symmetry rather than strength or the ability to play a specific sport. You'll learn which herbs are good for your body and when not to use them, why dumbbells are the best exercise equipment around and even how to safely cheat on your diet! He also discusses which type of body shaping can only be accomplished by surgery and the advantages and disadvantages of each procedure.
You'll find no nonsense here, no quick-fix schemes, hype or magic pills, just solid advice from the first page to the last. So bon appetite! Nadler's book has the recipe for the body of your dreams!

Finally the truth Dec 27, 2005 Even though I claim to exercise to be healthy, the truth is I do it to look better. Finally here are exercises devised with that aim in mind. The author's background makes him one of the few that could successfully write a book like this. The advice is solid and the book is actually fun to read. The are no promised miracles or any re-hash of things I've read and heard about time and time again. There is however a well thought out and original concept that seems to be worth trying. Since Dr. Nadler is as familiar with plastic surgery as he is with exercise, there is even a chapter on options available if exercise and diet were not enough.
