In brilliant, captivating prose, "The Parrot Lady" plumbs the sacredness of everyday

experience and ruminates over the personal message it holds. Each chapter concludes with a

poem/ prayer. Parrot Lady is a "lectio divina" (sacred reading) of daily living. A must

read if you seek insight into a deeper experience of life. Cessna is right up there with

Edward Hayes and other favorites.

A wonderful trip through life from this author telling stories of everyday experiences and relating these experiences to stories in the Bible. This book made me take a real look at who I am as a person and to always remember the grace we all have in our lives.
