The Petite Queen

The story takes place in The Nation One, ruled by the evil Phecests who are the surrogate brain of the Craptocrats. They rule the Land under Nick Sameole and his puppet, The Idiot Son. Since in a Royal Story the Dark must be countered with the Light, the Reader is presented with the Phecests? opposite. Thus to counterbalance the ?Mooners,? the darksiders who will be sucked up by the Moon, there is the shining example of the Royal Charming One, the Ebony-and-Ivory Knight. There is also a sweet love story woven in from the perspective of the King, who much to his royal surprise, becomes blissfully enamored of a beautiful Queen?petite in size, but grand in the light she projects. So if you, Gentle Reader, are not a homo politicus per se, you can still enjoy this enchanted royal tale . . .In Book 2 readers will meet some Special and Distinguished Guests and will be also taken on a breathtaking Journey to the Parallel Kingdom, that can completely change their life. All aboard!

5A fascinating book  Jun 07, 2010
By D. Ramo

The author has established an appealing, vibrant imaginary world with its own internal consistency. Resisting straight-line plot, the book unfolds in a non-linear way with clear threads weaving a compelling and complex tale. Each vignette/essay may be considered on its own as well as being part of the whole. I like this a lot! "The Petite Queen" is a creative expression of many ideas about the world, connecting innovatively to Jungian psychology, physics, spiritual journey, and Argentine tango. It has a distinctively personal style that reflects the author's courage and discipline, liberally spiked with a sense of humor. Very readable, enjoyable, and an imaginative way to express so many fascinating ideas about the world.

While reading Parallel Kingdom (the second part) I was particularly struck by the piece on discovery of beauty, science, and spirituality. This is a strong interest of mine and I was quite excited to read the questions and points the author raised.

I was drawn to the tango parts. It is wonderful that the king's world revolves around the tango and tango metaphors. So much tango writing has been by women - it is refreshing for a man to write about tango. I liked the political parts too, and it was inspiring to think about royalty as a moral, kind, and aesthetically aware mode of behavior. The royal particle concept is beautiful, and connects very much to the philosophical foundation of my own work in arts and education.

In summary, this is an enjoyable read that you'll want to keep for future perusal and reflection. Definitely 5 stars!

5Read "The Petite Queen"  Aug 27, 2009

"The Petite Queen" is a timely, imaginative, and very moving story. Stefan Zawistowski has shown himself to be a master of political satire. The parallel universe he creates is stunning in its accuracy and hilarious in its imagery. On par with Orwell's "1984" and "Animal Farm." Take the time to read this great work, by a truly gifted writer. Regine U. NYC
