The Platinum Rule and Other Contrarian Sayings: The First 60 Years
This book emphasizes quotes that should be used in everyday life by business men and people alike.
I believe each page should be copied and placed in an area where you can see it, thus remembering all the wise sayings that it has to offer.
"The path of success and the path of failure are
often the same; the only difference is one's willingness to continue."
Take a moment and look at this quote --- Read it twice. Failure and Success are the same, but never give up.
Think about it for a moment... No matter how much you succeed or how much you fail you must never give up.
For instance if you own a business or you're trying to get that dream job, their are going to be fatal mistakes on the way --- Never give up. Tuchy Palmieri as an author who taught me to never rest on your laurels and never give up on your successions...
"Fear is but an opportunity to be courageous"
Do you see how it correlates with the other quote in a different dimension I would like to call it.
If you want to choose the path of success rather then the path of failure you must overcome all that is fearful to you for then you will be courageous in the path of success.
"When there is peace within there are no
battles without"
Another correlation. If you have peace within yourself meaning if you do the right things then you will never have to fight a battle or face that fearful event.
I could sit here and write an in-depth expression about each quote, but that would take to much time and I would be resting on my laurels. In essence I wouldn't get any work done. To experience the same feeling when I first read the book and to experience the feelings I still have from a book that keeps on giving you must purchase it, have fun reading it and embed each word in your mind as if it was your child...

I really enjoyed reading this book as it gave me quite a bit of wisdom that I overlooked. I was so thrilled with this book that I ordered a copy for my mother and am letting my daughter read my copy. What a great bunch of inspirational quotes and very well written. This book makes a great gift for anyone - especially yourself!

I enjoy reading collections of inspirational quotes, as it always seems that I can find at least one that somehow fits the tone of my day. With a book like this, it's easy to become motivated - inspired if you will - by the wit and wisdom contained in the pages. I plan to give this book as a gift to several friends who could use a bit of a lift!

This book was great. The words of wisdom are ones that I will easily remember and occasionally pass along to my children. I only hoped that we could learn more abouthow these quotes came to be. If you are looking for words to inspire, this book is exactly what you need.

This is a great resource for people who are in need of an inspirational quote, whether it's for personal use or in their own writings. However, the book doesn't go into detail on how the quotes came into being. This is in contrast with the style of some of the author's other books, where the actual history behind the person giving the quotes is detailed. Still, this is a minor issue, and doesn't detract from what a person can gain from this type of book.
