Tuchy Palmieri's book "The Platinum Rule and Other Contrarian Sayings: The First 60 Years" is a wonderful collections of sayings and quotations that are fun to read and fun to think about. Some of the sayings are inspirational and others will surly bring a smile to your face. This is a great book to open randomly when you feel a little down or need a little extra motivation. Each one of the 522 sayings in this collection is a winner. Mr.Palmieri has once again put together a book I know I will enjoy time and time again. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is a great read!

Tuchy Palmieri appears to have a bottomless well filled with quotations thoughts and pithy comments. His new book "The Platinum Rule and Other Contrarian Sayings - The First 60 Years" contains a diverse sampling of these thoughts. Many of Tuchy's books are directed at specific topics, problems or groups of people but, this one can be of benefit to all.
Many of these sayings like:
- Most people are satisfied with their unsatisfaction. Or;
- Just because the path is straight and narrow does not mean it's the right one for you to take. are contrarian in nature as the title indicates. These are most useful after you sit and contemplate them for awhile.
Other sayings are strait forward and obviously true:
While it is true that you can win a battle and lose the war it is equally true that you cannot
win the war without winning a battle.
Overall this is a very good collection that you can sit and contemplate and learn from.

Tuchy Palmieri has put together another exciting collection of sayings in this book. I am always amazed at the collections he is able to gather. This group covers issues such as love, morals, growth, and problems.
With the use of his quotations you are presented with concepts about right and wrong. After several of these quotations you begin to see a way to apply them to your path in life and the people in your life.
The connection between problems and opportunities are also explored. Interwoven throughout the book is the concept of two sides to everything. The fact that both sides can be true is explored through one quotation or another.
If you enjoy the process of reading a quote and contemplating on the meaning this is the book for you. It is so pleasant to sit and read a quote and think of how it can be applied to your life.
Whether you can read several at one time or just read a few quotes now and then this is a wonderful collection. These can be enjoyed in one reading feast or as small snacks.
I particularly enjoyed the platinum rule and comparing it to the golden rule. Without giving it away here I do have one comment. When looking at how they were alike and how they were different and applying it to my life was absorbing.

I highly suggest you buy a copy of this book, The Platinum Rule and Other Contrarian Sayings: The First 60 Years. It is an amazing collection of applicable quotes and sayings. I read through the whole thing at once and now refer back to it on a regular basis. It is one of those books you can keep in the nightstand drawer and pull out when you need a little motivation, inspiration or just an entertaining tidbit. He touches on a number of topics. Some topics are rather light and comical but some will cause you to think and apply them to situations you've experienced. He has a quote for every occassion. As always, Palmieri created a winner. I also gave this book to a friend as a gift and heard lots of good reviews from her too.

"The Platinum Rule and Other Contrarian Sayings: The First 60 Years" by Carl "Tuchy" Palmieri, is a great collection of quotes that will touch every single reader. Palmieri is a gift for selecting the quotes and one-liners that are most applicable to life and everyday situations. He then puts them into one compact location for everyone to enjoy. With such a large number of quotes to choose from, there is sure to be one for every occasion. I recommend everyone read this book, you won't be sorry.
