Great book Feb 23, 2008
By Rollerblades Carefully written for children and colorfully illustrated, this is a different fairy tale with an unfolding storyline that will keep inquisitive young minds engaged... a good children's book for early elementary-school-aged kids or even younger ones when told by adults. Recommended.

By Marsha E. Hicks I am a retired elementary teacher who now works at a library. I loved the book. I thought the illustrations were so colorful and bright. I can't wait to read this book with my two granddaughters. I wish it had been available when I was still teaching school.
Wish this book was around when I was a kid! Jan 03, 2008

"The Princess and the Leopard" is a fun and imaginative story to read to your little one especially if he/she routinely clamours for a nice bedtime story. The author weaves a wonderful tale with as many twists and turns as you can find in Asoka's (the magician in the book) bag of tricks and it keeps the little minds hanging on to your every word, begging for more. Really nice illustrations to boot.
What more - the one thing I wish all storybooks had when I was growing up - a few pages to actually crayon the main characters yourself. This will be something your kids will love.
The author better follow this up with some more titles because I am sure I will be reading this a few hundred times in the next year to my little one and I certainly will appreciate a bunch of titles to pick from. :-)

This first children's book by Ram Kavasseri is a delight for all ages. The colorful and detailed illustrations are remarkable which helps to capture and hold children's interest while reading the story. As an educator in the bay area, I was fortunate to be able to contact the author and have him come and read his book to my kindergarten class. This allowed for my students an up close adventure on how books are written and illustrated. I hope that the author continues writing and illustrating children's books that are multicultural; that incorporates a theme and has a message for all chilren to enjoy.
