5Great Protestant Commentary  Oct 01, 2008
By Ricardo A. Rohde
This is a great NT KJV for anyone wanting to gain an insight into the mind-set of the founders of the Reformation. I recommend this to anyone wanting to get an in-depth analysis of the NT from a reformers point of perspective. SOLA SCRIPTURA, SOLA GRACIA, SOLA CHRISTO, SOLA FAITH. AMEN and AMEN

3Haven't Read it yet, but Why Wesley?  Jul 07, 2010
By Stephen Hancock "Scholar born 300 years late."
I haven't read this yet but wonder what possessed the author to add study notes by John Wesley when he's the polar opposite of Calvin, Augustine, Luther and virtually every other major reformer. Every reformer that lived while he was writing including Calvin, and John Owen opposed him completely. Save for the view on the Lord's Supper there was basic uniformity of opinion on all the major issues of the Protestant Reformers, but even his former friend George Whitfield (the REAL father of Methodism)thought Wesley has broken away from the basic received understand of scripture. I had to give a rating to make this comment so I went ahead and gave it three stars, hoping that Wesley is a very minority voice amongst these other giants.
