The Purpose of Life

Late one night, twenty-eight-year-old software salesman David Werner receives a mysterious telephone call from an old flame that sends him back to his childhood home to confront demons from the past he had hoped to leave behind there. This sets in motion a domino-like series of events that culminates in David and four high school friends taking hostages in a fast food restaurant to protest the construction of a hydroelectric dam on one of their favorite whitewater rivers. Now David must come to terms with his demons and find a way to end the standoff before it turns tragic.
