5The pervasiveness of Vodun in the lives of Haitian Protestant Christians  May 13, 2007
By Marge of PRMI
This is a discertation. It is written in a very methodical and rational manner. It gave me insight into the numerous ways Vodun controls Haitian families and communities, even through the pastors of the Chrisitian church. Particularly churches pastored by individuals without benefit of education and theological education.
As a person who has organized a series of seminars on the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit for Protestant priests and lay leaders in Haiti, I found in invaluable.

5Extraordinary Literary Work!  Aug 02, 2009
By Dr. Judy Ann Fisher
I found the book to be absolutely amazing in its clarity and details. Having worked in Haiti since 1987, I was astonished at how little I understood the culture. I thought I had educated myself about the duality of Christians in Haiti, but I was ill-informed until I read this excellent book. As a seminary-trained minister of the Gospel, I feel that this book should be a required reading for every seminary student because it elucidates the need for sound Christian Education in general and in Haiti in particular.

Having access to this quality and calibre of information written by an exceptional Spirit-filled Christian and renown educator celebrates the marvelous creative gifts that God has given to so many of His servants. He is an architect, a business man, an educator and a pastor just to name a few of his roles, yet he writes with the humility and sincerity of a true servant and lover of God's people.

I highly recommend this book to everyone who sincerely wants to understand Caribbean culture and its relationship to Traditional African Culture and Christianity. Every missionary, mission worker and spiritual leader need to read and digest this manual BEFORE attempting to minister in Haiti or similar cultures. It is an eye-opener. And, it is supported by the Word of God.
