Excellent basic practical guide Nov 18, 2010

I purchased a number of books touting propagation perfection. This small book went further to meet my many questions. I am sure the information could have been located on the web in many separate locations. Having the one source, loaded with practical tips on what to do (and what NOT to do), good indexing so any topic can be quickly located, and additional ideas for making the lavender pay a few feed bills make this book my #1 favorite.
If you are looking for recipes, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for information related to their 4 book sections (Reality Check, Preparation, Care, and After the Harvest), take a close look at this book.

extremely unhappy Nov 19, 2009

I am preparing to grow lavender commercially and wanted a very good source book, as this book was advertised as. Instead,
it is a basic undetailed overview about lavender, only 50 pages (which includes the dull black and white photos) all for the
overpriced amount of $20.00 !! I could easily have found all this info and much more on the internet for free. I would like to return this pamphlet for a refund. Please advise me about the best way to do this. Thank you

Excellent book for learning the ins and outs of growing Lavender Dec 18, 2009
By Josh Howard As a nursery professional I have read quite a few books on propagation, growing, fertilizing, etc. This book is great because it approaches growing lavender and propagation as the art form that it is and not a sterile how to type read. It gives enough technical info to get you going and avoid pitfalls but leaves enough to the reader to create their own techniques and relationship with lavender. If you want a book that will give you insight from a person who has grown lavender for 21 years get this book. If you want to learn about business buy an economics book and input lavender every time they print the word widget.
Money's Worth Aug 15, 2011
By Bonnie L I purchased three books through Amazon dealing with lavender. Of the three books, the "Guide to Grow Lavender" by Mr. Blum is the only one I read through completely the day I received it. I found it to be a delightful easy read book and have highlighted several areas. I consider it a resource that will become a useful everyday reference book because of the practical hands-on tidbits for those beginning the journey of growing lavender.
