Howard W. Wiseman, a World War II veteran, tells his story beginning with a fire that destroyed his home, struggling for food and shelter through the Great Depression, enlisting in the Army, liberating Paris, surviving wounds suffered during the Battle of the Bulge, working as a civilian Navy investigator, and advocating for all veterans as a member and officer of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
