 At last--THE manual for these cards Oct 05, 2007

For so long these cards have intrigue me as well as others, but there has been to date no manual in English to guide one in learning how to read these cards. Now, with this book, anyone can learn to read these cards, and read them well. The author has written a book that finally makes practical sense, as well as psychological and spiritual sense, of the cards and answers the questions that most people who consult cards want to know--especially in the love department. With this book you can use this famous oracle to answer anything ANYTHING you want to know and get direct, concise and clear answers. Professional readers will love this book as it guides one accurately to answer the inevitable questions of "Will he call?" or "Does she love me" or "What is he thinking about me" or "Is he faithful?" or "Why hasn't he called?" ad infinitum. Of course, this is only one aspect of life to which people want to know the answers, but Sylvie guides the reader to be able to answer questions in other areas of concern such as career, money, travel, relocation, etc.
There are now at least two internet courses--both out of Germany--that teach these cards, but not like this book. In fact, for English speaking countries -- us Americans in particular -- this is THE book to use, as the author, from her professional experience in reading clients in Los Angeles (the "NOW" city as she describes L.A.)has developed a system that gives DETAILED, accurate, and quick answers to those that want to know about love, money, career, and so forth, successfully avoiding giving generalized answers. She also gives information on timing of events (so desired by every client). This book is a updated and modernized method of using this highly treasured oracle. Well known and used in Europe, this oracle until now had no manual that English speaking countries could use with confidence by which to learn these cards. Now we do.
If you are devoted lover of the Lenormand cards, you simply must have this book. Even if you are reading with them now, this book will enhance your accuracy and knowledge of the cards by leaps and bounds.
This is manual that has "the today" meanings for these cards, not meanings pertaining to a time past, charming as that might be. Some traditional Lenormand lovers might be startled at some of the meanings she ascribes to the cards. But remember--she has used this system of meanings and method of reading the cards extremely successfully over a number of years to a wide variety of clients.
With this book, the Lenormand Cards now come into the 21st century. Use this book and the cards to guide your life--they will become your dearest friends. I know--they are mine.

I have been studying and working with Sylvie Steinbach's book, "The Secrets of the Lenormand Oracle", since late last Fall. I had been looking for years, for a different system from the Tarot, that would not only compliment the Tarot, but give more detailed insights. I definitely have found that with The Lenormand Oracle!

These cards have out-performed my hopes and expectations as to what is possible in divination with cards...they are phenomenal!
The readings that I have done, for friends and family, have brought up funny little details that have been born out. For example:
I did a reading for a girlfriend, who was being pushed out of her rental house because her dog had had puppies. She had managed to find good homes to all of them except one, who she ended up keeping. The landlord discovered this, and said "out!"-
To find a place, in the middle of winter, to rent, (when you have a few dogs!!) is very very difficult. She asked me to do a reading for her, asking if she would find a 3 bedroom house, with a back yard, reasonable rent, that would accept her dogs?
I don't have the specific reading any longer, but I remember that I told her,(following Sylvie's precise methods, that yes, she would find such a house that she would really like, and would stay there for a long time. The cards also said to me that she needed to check out her place of work, look at the bulletin boards, or talk to people she worked with, because she would find the place through a lucky break connected to work.
I felt as though, I had put my head on the chopping block with that one! lol My friend also reads for a second income, but couldn't read for herself. Time went by, and then lo and behold! I got an email from her thanking me profusely! She had found the perfect house to rent, with a very kind landlord. It was in a more desirable area, near all the ammenities (she doesn't drive) AND she found out about it through a co-worker at that place of employment, before the house was even listed or emptied of the tenants!!
That was a major moment for me as to the power of these funny little cards. You don't need 52 cards or 78 cards to get an incredibly detailed account. You just need The Lenormand cards, and Sylvie Steinbach's book! Sylvie's teaching thread on Aecletic Tarot Forum has been indispensable for taking this beginner to the next level. I can't recommend this teacher, and her specific methods for reading these cards, highly enough! I never thought I would say this, but they run rings around Tarot!!
I have been in awe, at some of the insights that have come forth with these cards.
If you want to get specifics, and really get to the heart of matters, discover the Lenormand Cards, and Sylvie Steinbach's book- you won't look back! :)

I haven't used the 'no lay-out' system very much yet. To be honest, just only once to test it out and to describe someone I already know. Guess what? It came up with a very exact description of this person!! Quite impressive, I must say.
I also like the 10 psychic commandments at the end of the book; they are valuable and protective guidelines for any psychic apprentice to stick to and which are to be taken seriously, I think.
I'm still studying the meaning of the cards from this book and will definitely do more readings using this 'no lay-out' system in the future.
I use the no.194115 Piatnik Mlle Lenormand cards. They're beautiful with no text on them.

I purchased this book along with a set of the Lenormand divination cards two months ago. I read the book and began using the cards immediately according to its instructions. I am amazed at the results that I get each time I use the cards. Sylvie has given so much detail about the cards as well as how to use them that I already feel that I know my deck very well. The book has covered literally I think any conceivable thing you would want to know about this tool. The more I use this tool, the more intuitive I feel I am with the cards. I am so pleased with the book and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in working on their own intuitive skills!

This book is useful only for the 36 pack deck. If you are using the real, 54 card Lenormand deck (Grand Jeu de Mlle. Lenormand), this book is worthless.
