In The Shards of Morning, E.K.Martens has created entire worlds with their own languages, landscapes, peoples, and customs. The reader cannot help but love the main characters. The ending was a complete surprise to me. An amazing work from a young, new author. We're sure to see lots more from her!

I agree with the previous reviewer - this book will make a great movie! Very well written story and characters that draw you in. I couldn't put it down! This is an absolutely astonishing first novel - I am looking forward to #2!

This book has ALL THE MAKINGS OF A MOVIE. After I started reading it I found I could not put it down. I found it exciting, imaginative, very descriptive and well written! I would highly reccommend this book for teens through adults.

I can hardly wait for the sequel to "Shards" and also the third novel that's in the works.

When I bought this book I thought it was going to be really good, but it was amazing. I honestly couldn't put it down! The characters were believable; to the point I felt as though I knew them. The adventure is an enjoyable rollercoaster ride; I didn't want it to end! I am waiting with baited breath for book two!

I just finished reading her book and I fell in love. I grew up with this writer and she would read me to sleep at night with her epic stories. I always knew she would make it big and I am so proud of her! I just look back and remember all of the books she wrote on old computer paper from her mima's house. Unbelievable book with captivating characters and twits throughout, love the book and the author!! If it is ever made into a move I am sure she will star in it and direct it as she is talented in all realms!
