The Struggle Oct 19, 2009
By Frederick M. Poholek Gary McCarragher's The Struggle is the story of a doctor on the brink of his ultimate dream only to be crushed by a corrupt colleague.
This gripping story of one man's fall into anger and revenge is both a captivating and thought provoking story that reflects on our own lives
and frailties. I can only recommend this intense read and it's author's ability to return us to places we have been before and experience them through different eyes.

Excellent Jun 21, 2009
By Deborah L. Hair Excellent book. I read this book in one night. I could not put it down. The characters are so real. I wanted to find out what was going to happen next. I was very happy that Mr. McCarragher left the book off where he can continue the story. I really hope that he does continue the storyline. I highly recommend this book for everyone.

Is Gary McCarragher the new Robin Cook? May 02, 2009
By Alice M. Donovan
"Alice's Bookshelf"
This is a fast reading, page turner. I wasn't able to put it down. There is great character development and a very unique plot. Aaron Livingston is a very believable character with all the human flaws we see every day. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good mystery with an unusual twist.

Excellent story based on obsession, vengeance and eventually forgiveness. Apr 25, 2009
By J. Triana Excellent story based on what the human emotions of obsession, anger and vengeance do to the human condition. While reading the author makes it easy for us (the readers) to understand and empathize with what our protagonist is going through. We learn that it is ultimately our actions and the effect they haved on us that sometimes make us who we are. This tale takes us to a very powerful end filled with forgiveness, redemption and the decision to move forward with life. This was a great read and a very compelling story, I look forward to more from him in the future.
A Gripping First Novel Feb 06, 2010
By Mildred Dabbs The author paints a picture of his main character, Dr. Aaron Livingston, in such an exemplary manner that we believe in him and want him to overcome the struggles he faces. I have added Gary McCarragher to my list of must read authors (James Patterson, Robin Cook, David Baldocci, Iris Johansen, et al) and await another novel by this promising new author.
