The Tale of the Tailless Cat

Purr-sistence pays off in The Tale of the Tailless Cat, a mythical fantasy with big messages about friendship meant to bolster confidence and self-esteem in young people. When Michael and Mandy come across a cat named Toby, a few things strike them as odd. First, he's three-feet tall; second, he gets around by being carried in the mouth of a rather large dog, and he has no tail-but then, none of the cats from Toby's world have tails. Regrettably many, many years ago an evil warlord stole all the cattails and locked them in a safe in the middle of town as a threat for them to obey. After a coup, the new king proclaimed that whoever finds the key to unlock the cattails will rule the land. While legend has it that a 'furless one' will find the key, Toby hasn't given up hope. A ferocious competitor against a rather rambunctious and mean-spirited group of hooligans known as the Thievers, he is able to get the upper hand only to have the Thievers resort to kidnapping. Holding Mandy ransom for the key, it will take will take a joint effort of both Michael and his new feline friend to free Mandy and save the world.
